July 5, 2002     BEARS - IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS

The Ministry of Natural resources is urging cottagers, campers and municipalities to be "bear aware" and to work together to avoid attracting bears. 

There have been many reported sightings of bears by cottagers on both Loon & Turtle Lakes, in the past few weeks.  You may want to take a moment to share this information with family & friends who will be at your cottage.  MNR has published the following information on their website - www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/bears
